Do I wear the Giro Selector or the Giro Advantage II? “Mr. Speed”
says "stop being a candy ass and wear the one that looks cool!" Bob Burke says "it depends on how much you drank last night!" Watts it going to be? If you roll
two, you can be cool and cooler. That reminds me again of where I put the
refreshments.
Getting to the midway point of the “Little Dipper” course was a
lot harder than many riders thought it would be. Many riders went out crushing
the pedals only to lose steam when they made that last left turn heading east. However,
for others, the return flight was incredibly fast back to the finish line. I’d
have to say it’s nice when you can stay in your 53x11 going up the false flat
by the nursery.
Once again on the men’s side, Jeff Otto (Lamb Little Racing) keeps
his streak alive by hammering out the fastest time of the day at 43:09.43. Nice job Jeff! The second
fastest time of the day belonged to Chris Meewes (Vision Quest) crossing the
line with a time of 43:38.55. Completing the podium and stopping the
clock at 45:05.52 was Chris Mosora (Scarlet Fire Racing). This hombre flew
his single speed at Harvard.
On the ladies’ side, Leigh Thompson (Vision Quest) posted
the fastest time rolling across the line at 48:30.95. Coming in with the second
fastest time of the day was Stacy Mosora (Scarlet Fire Racing) with a time of 49:09.48.
Meghan Lapeta (Smart Cycling) completed the women’s overall podium with a
time of 51:42.67.
Thanks to Jerzy Trzeciak (PLUS),
the Mid-America Time Trial Series has a podium. Jerzy, where are the "Hot,
Polish, Podium Girls?"

Leigh
Thompson (Vision Quest) is a former UCI Time Trial
Masters World Champion...just check out the "Sweet Rainbow Bands" on the skinsuit and booties. Leigh, you gotta
stop eating junk food 24/7 girl! How do you expect to get faster?

"Mr. Speed" getting ready for the
"Race of Truth"…really he's trying to hide the candy wrappers...the
whole bag of wrappers.

Dan Madsen (ABD) at the starting line
waiting for the countdown from Chris.

Bob Lundberg and Bill Cassidy just passing time at the timers table listening to the corn grow while riders roll in. |
July 21st Rumor has it that there will be a 20K TT at Cordova; however, I wouldn't plan on it until registration opens.
|
Dougie D, it looks like Bob is ready to
put the smack down on your behavior! Bizzy can tell you all about it
at the next TT. On the left, Richard Kreutzfeldt is quietly minding his own business.

Carl Wilkins is handing out the medals
